Founded in 1998 US-Space Plane Systems is at the forefront of Advanced Lifting Body Aerospace Vehicle Development.
Our objective is to develop Advanced Technologies that will enable Sub-Orbital Intercontinental Air and Orbital Space Transportation to begin at most international airports. By utilizing a horizontal takeoff and landing mode, no massive boosters or sophisticated carrier aircraft required. Our new vehicle design will allow for fast commercial passenger and cargo transportation to take place worldwide, while simultaneously providing a means of manned and un-manned access to and from "orbiting outposts" on a truly routine basis.
Why Lifting Bodies? - The lifting body air vehicle is considered by many of the world's top aeronautical engineers as the safest and most practical method for flying into space and returning to earth. Our new design provides this capability. Pictured at right is one of our scale mockups under construction. >
With a new Space Vehicle comes a new Propulsion System. Presently in development is US-SPS LLC main propulsion engine called Hydra X. This engine exhibits a "Dual-Action Cycle" allowing it to operate in, as well as above Earth's atmosphere. Combined with a "Non -Conventional Non-Volatile Propellant" that operates at ambient temperatures and is non-hypergolic, will push this engine's efficiency well above existing technologies. This will allow our vehicle to have "Single Stage to Orbit" capabilities.
These new "High Speed high Altitude" Lifting Body Aerospace Vehicles are many times safer than conventional aircraft flying today, With multiple redundancy built into the design and the ability to abort to a safe water landing, these crafts will ensure passenger survivability in all phases of the flight.
Soon, "everyone" will be able to travel through "space" high above Earth's Atmosphere then arrive at exciting destinations around the globe using our 420 passenger suborbital airliner, all within minutes instead of hours, at the cost of the average international airline ticket.
The Galactic Flyer.
At 300 ft in length, Galactic Flyer will be the largest space plane to ever fly into space.
Having an internal cargo and passenger volume in excess of 3.2 million cubic ft.
Or the world's largest flying warehouse.
The need to move large pieces of equipment around the world at suborbital speeds, and at short notice is now here.
In addition to having self-contained cargo and passenger containers, Galactic Flyer will have the capability of "Air Launching" other air and spacecraft for orbital missions.
The Galactic Flyer will be the safest Air/Space Vehicle to ever take flight. Utilizing an inherently stable airframe, indestructible fuselage, advanced flight controls, self-contained environmental systems, and ability to abort to a soft water landing with amphibious capabilities, takes this craft into a league of its own.
This new vehicle will be the method of air travel for decades to come. to learn more, click the buton below.
The need for a small economical orbital transport vehicle is now. In the past, the cost of building and operating such a vehicle has hindered many noteworthy attempts. Now Technology and Innovation has caught up.
With advances in materials, automated manufacturing and computer sciences, cost and complexity are now drastically reduced. Our new orbital SUV after development costs and tooling, is expected to be produced in months instead of years and at a cost of the average high end business jet.
This 5-passenger vehicle is designed to be air launched from the Galactic Flyer or vertical launched from expendable launch vehicles.
In the near future, people will own and operate thier own personal private orbital space craft.
In a few years from now, people will travel the globe on large, very fast "sub-orbital" airliners called LIFTING BODIES.
This new air/space craft called "Galactic Flyer" will soon be taking 420 passengers to global destinations on the average in less than an hour and at speeds nearing orbital velocity.
A joint venture between select air carriers and government entities shall maintain and operate a fleet of Sub-Orbital airliners servicing the Pacific and Atlantic International Air Routes. Therefore, working in conjunction with existing airlines to provide a seamless coexistence with conventional flights. "Super Flights" will add a new dimension to the existing air transportation industry.
With the ability to take off and land horizontally at most major international airports, this new "Fast" sub-orbital flight service will be able to operate in 10 Pacific airports servicing 14 nonstop flight routes. In the Atlantic region, 11 Airports serving 15 nonstop air routes.
A typical Trans-Atlantic flight would board at 5:00am at JFK New York and arrive in the UK 12:00 noon local, taking into the account for the 6-hour time zone. If you visit Europe for 8 hours and return to the airport for your return trip to USA at 8:00 pm local time, your return flight lasting 45 minutes allows you to arrive back a JFK approx. 1:00 in the afternoon (The Same Day). Never has the traveling passenger had this capability in human travel; Until Now.
We believe the cost of Sub-Orbital Travel should be affordable to all. Therefore, ticket prices should not be greater than current international air fares. A single flight should be no greater than 2K USD.
Our First Sub-Orbital Certification will be California to Hawaii.
There is a lot going on at USSP. First, will be Flight Orientation Centers at every Space Plane destination city around the globe. Passengers can fly a simulated mission while on the ground. This will get them accustomed to the sensations of acceleration and low gravity 0g flight. Flights normally last under an hour.
USSPS LLC is establishing a new research and development center on the East coast of the United States. With Taxi tests of the new 35ft manned demonstrator air vehicle to begin in 2022
USSPS current effort, the 35ft manned flight demonstrator. This lightweight vehicle uses a steel tubular airframe with a thin composite skin pulled across the tube matrix. Small turbo jet engines provide a low-cost propulsion system. intended for limited flight and engineering purposes. this vehicle give way to its 45ft rocket powered; high altitude sister ship slated to begin construction in 2022.
Having a propulsion system that is powerful and also safe, is a big task. The new Hydra X engine combines the power of a rocket with the efficiency of a ducted fan for atmospheric flight. Advances in fuel technologies can now be incorporated into our new design that will make these engines safer by a significant margin. Lighter design, safer and improved specific impulse needed to achieve single stage to orbit craft.
Artificial Intelligence will rule the skies with increasing Drone Technology. Because of the versatility of the lifting body air vehicle, cargo and small package delivery will become common place worldwide, particularly at remote island locations.
USSPS LLC has devoted the past decade developing the new Lifting Body Aerospace Vehicle. With 2/3rds of our beautiful planet covered by water, it makes perfect since to build transportation vehicles having amphibious capabilities. The lifting body air vehicle is perfect for this role, as an Air, Land, Sea and Space System.
Designed and built in 2002, this jet powered research aircraft is designed to fly into a live tornado. Using a carbon and Kevlar fuselage, will allow this vehicle to penetrate the high wind and debris field associated with the most violent tornados, and send back atmospheric data on the structure of the tornado.
With advanced in micro turbo machinery, small light weight jet engines are readily available for Research and development purposes.
Contract work involved developing high efficiency forward swept wing for 200mph jet powered military drone vehicles.
Meetings took place at Lackland AFB with US Space Plane LLC representatives, concerning using lifting body technology to accomplish difficult military space objectives.
As new generations of people look towards the heavens for a better way of life, US-Space Plane Systems is dedicated to using yesterday's breakthroughs with today's technologies. The path will be exiting for all who accept the challenge, and new transportation methods will assist them on their journey.
